Gold Star Family Day at the Ballpark

Woody Williams Foundation and Nashville Sounds Baseball
  • The Woody Williams Foundation, in partnership with the Nashville Sounds Baseball Club, is excited to present Gold Star Family Day at the Ballpark at First Horizon Park on April 11, 2025. This Outreach event was developed by the Woody Williams Foundation to host Gold Star Family members for baseball, food, community, peer support, and great fun!

Families in attendance will enjoy watching the Nashville Sounds (AAA team of the Milwaukee Brewers) as they battle the Memphis Redbirds (AAA team of the St. Louis Cardinals).  A meal will be provided to all families.

As a part of this special day, Gold Star Family members will be throwing out the first pitch. In addition to these activities, Nashville Sounds baseball will give special recognition to these families in honor of their Loved Ones during a pre-game ceremony and throughout the evening.  The night will be capped with fireworks after the game.  (ear plugs will be provided by the Nashville Sounds).

The Woody Williams Foundation is honored to have our 1:1 scale replica of the Gold Star Families Memorial Monument on display at First Horizon Park to honor Gold Star Families and their Loved One.

Gold Star Family Day at the Ballpark offers a unique opportunity to strengthen relationships within the community and demonstrate to Gold Star Families that Nashville will never forget the sacrifice of their Loved One.
